FSA Gravity Quad Review

FSA have produced cycling components that are performance enhancing and have a high quality finish for a number of years. This global company have always managed to stay ahead of rival manufacturers and the FSA development team has once again produced a fantastic component in the FSA Gravity Quad, which is packed with FSA’s specially developed features. The Gravity Quad has been created using the highest quality aluminium with an AL7075/T6 spider and AL6061 forged crankarms. This ideal combination guarantees a strong and durable crankset that is capable of sustaining the weight of heavier cyclists even during intensive cycling sessions. One of the best features of the Gravity Quad is FSA original Hollow Forged crankarm design ensures the Gravity Quad is low in weight whilst also offering a far superior strength compared to solid arms. The entire crankset, from the crankarms to the spider is extremely rigid and it is this stiffness which makes the Gravity Quad a competitive racing crankset. With power effectively transferred and no energy lost, you can really feel the difference the Gravity Quad has on your performance from the first push on the pedal. The crankset also features the FSA double row cartridge BB bearings (MegaExo Quad) that guarantees a smooth and durable crankset. The Gravity Quad features the FSA designed 22/32/Bash chainrings which offer the rider a smooth and fast transitions between all ratios. One of initial comments our testers said was that the crankset felt comfortable. The overall slim design reduced any contact with the rider ankles, while the perfectly measure Q-Factor promises a comfortable ride even when riding out of saddle. FSA have once again designed a fantastic, although weighing 1230 grams with the bottom bracket, the crankset weighs little more than other FSA cranksets. Despite this single fault the crankset is fantastic, the stiffness guarantees performance, its strength guarantees durability while its polished black anodized finish ensures that not only does the Gravity Quad perform well it looks amazing.
